Folic Acid
Folic acid is found in green leaf vegetables, liver and legumes. It is essential to the synthesis of DNA and red blood cells, as well as amino acid metabolism. Deficiency causes megaloblastic anemia. Folic acid is destroyed by antibiotic treatments. The recommended daily intake of folic acid is 0.2mg.
