Definition: Contraceptive device used to cover the penis during intercourse. Most condoms are made from latex although natural tissue condoms are available. Condoms are available in various sizes, shapes, colors and flavors. They may be lubricated, sometimes with an anti-spermicidal. Condoms are an effective device for preventing sexually transmitted diseases as well as unwanted pregnancies.
