Crystal meth use has become more mainstream. It's time to review its effects and side effects.

Crystal meth (Crystal methamphetamine) can be either snorted, injected, or smoked in a pipe. It produces feelings of euphoria and a high that can last between 2 and 16 hours. A central nervous system stimulant, crystal meth enables a person to stay awake for long periods and can make the user feel confident, energised, very happy and disinhibited.

Side Effects of Crystal Meth
As with nearly all drugs there are side effects associated with crystal meth. Most common are insomnia, agitation, irritability, dry mouth, sweating, and palpitations.

Body temperature increases, as does breathing and heart rate. Blood pressure becomes affected. People with cardiac and blood pressure problems can cause further damage to their cardiovascular systems.
Crystal meth can cause behavioral problems, paranoia and psychosis, especially when used frequently and in individuals with a predisposition to mental illness.
