Warning Issued to Avoid Sexual Dysfunction Supplement
Sunday October 5, 2008
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning against the use of a dietary supplement known as Xiadafil VIP. This supplement, sold over the counter, is commonly used as a sexual enhancement product and a treatment for sexual dysfunction. Because it contains the same active ingredient as Viagra it also carries the risk of dangerous drops in blood pressure sometimes seen with the prescription ED drug known as the "little blue pill". Men with heart disease or who take medications for high blood pressure and chest pain should stop the supplement immediately and consult their doctor.
