For an average man of average weight 43% of his body weight is muscle, 14% is fat, 14% bone and marrow, 12% internal organs, 9% is connective tissue and skin and only 8% is blood. An Adult man has about 5 litres of blood. Blood supplies the body with oxygen and nutrients and carries away waste materials.
