Balding Dilemma

Thursday October 27, 2005
In the Men's Health forum

"I'm going bald and am still in my 20s. I don't know whether I should shave my head or not? This may sound weird but I don't think I'm going bald in a way that would be suited to shaving my head. From behind you can see I am noticeably going bald at the top but from the front I appear to have a 'healthy' head of hair.

I thought shaving would better suit people who are going bald from the front. If I shaved my head, I would be shaving a LOAD off because its only a small proportion that is very thin. Also, I've always thought I had a large head and shaving it would make it extra obvious!!

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Yo dude,

I am 26 and started to lose my hair at 23.
It began to thin on the vertex and my hairline was receding. I recently shaved my head all the way down and I love the way it looks. You will be shocked at first since you have never seen yourself this way but you will get used to it. More importantly, hit the gym, lift some weights, run on the treadmill. This will make you feel 10 times better, I promise!
