Live Webcast, December 3rd

Saturday November 29, 2003
Last summer, 42-year-old Wayne Smith, a CPA and chief financial officer, went to see his doctor because he was experiencing unusual pain near his left ear. Through a series of diagnostic tests and visits to specialists, it was discovered that he had a facial nerve neuroma (tumor) near the end of his auditory canal.

While the tumor is very small, Smith continued to experience pain near his left ear and some facial palsy. On December 3, at 4 p.m., he will undergo Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at Piedmont Hospital to treat the tumor.

Viewers will have the ability to email questions direct to the OR and receive answers from the surgical team during the live webcast.
